DAY 1: DEPART NORTH AMERICA
Board your international flight for your Discover Kenya tour.  

DAY 2: EUROPE / KENYA
Choice of travel via London, Amsterdam or Frankfurt where you connect with your flight to Nairobi.

DAY 3: ARRIVE NAIROBI
Nairobi is Kenya's principal economic, administrative, and cultural center and is one of the largest and fastest growing cities in Africa. On arrival in Nairobi (meaning 'place of cool waters' in the Maasai language), you will be met and escorted to your hotel. The rest of your day is at your leisure. NAIROBI SAFARI CLUB

DAY 4: NAIROBI / TREE HOTEL
Following breakfast, depart on the first leg of your safari. Travel through the mountains and moorlands of Aberdare National Park and The Ark, a lodge shaped like Noah's Ark overlooking a watering hole. Overnight here with game viewing. THE ARK LODGE (B/L/D)

DAY 5: TREE HOTEL / SAMBURU GAME RESERVE
Travel today to Samburu Game Reserve, named after the rugged Samburu tribesmen. After lunch and a refreshing swim in the cool waters of Serena Lodge swimming pool, proceed on an afternoon game viewing drive. SAMBURU SERENA LODGE (B/L/D)

DAY 6: SAMBURU GAME RESERVE
Today you will search for game on drives through the park. Your Game Ranger leads the search for the “Big Five” and game exclusive to the northern part of Kenya such as Beisa Oryx, Gerenuk, Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy's Zebra, or Somali Ostrich. Hippos and crocodiles bask along the Uaso Nyiro River. SAMBURU SERENA LODGE (B/L/D)

DAY 7: SAMBURU / MOUNT KENYA
Travel today to the slopes of Mount Kenya near the equator, where you may have your picture taken with one foot in each hemisphere. The famous Mount Kenya Safari Club, originally a retreat of movie stars and world leaders, features the finest private bird sanctuary and is also home to the William Holden Animal Orphanage. Enjoy optional activities such as golf, horseback riding, and the art gallery. MOUNT KENYA SAFARI CLUB (B/L/D)

DAY 8: MOUNT KENYA / LAKE NAKURU
After breakfast depart for Lake Nakuru with a brief stopover at Nyahururu to view Thompson's Falls. Lake Nakuru is famous for millions of pink flamingoes and a myriad of birds that make this saline lake their home. A rhino sanctuary has also been established that is now home to both black as well as white rhino, and a sizable population of the most elusive of the cats, the leopard. DAY 9: LAKE NAKURU / MAASAI MARA
After breakfast, depart for Kenya's most famed game reserve, the Maasai Mara, where red ochre clad tribesmen still live as they did before civilization. There is nothing quite like the experience of adventure in Kenya's Maasai Mara. This afternoon proceed on a game viewing drive in search of the “Big Five.” SAROVA MARA TENTED CAMP (B/L/D)

DAY 10: MAASAI MARA
Experience breathtaking vistas overlooking rolling savannahs and acacia woodlands teeming with large concentrations of wildebeest, zebra and antelope, always on the move in search of better grazing. Your game viewing drives also include a visit to the Mara River to view the large population of hippo and crocodiles. SAROVA MARA TENTED CAMP (B/L/D)

Optional: Early morning Balloon Safari over Mara Plains with champagne breakfast.

DAY 11: MAASAI MARA / NAIROBI
Bid farewell to safari life as you return to Nairobi and transfer to Nairobi Safari Club where day rooms are provided. Depart Nairobi for home on a late evening flight. Nairobi Safari Club (B)

DAY 12: ARRIVE HOME
Arrive home today with an appreciation for the unique heritage of Kenya and East Africa.
