Moscow – St. Petersburg

Day 01                        USA to Moscow

Day 02                        Moscow
Upon arrival you’ll be met and transferred by private car to your hotel. In the afternoon enjoy a city tour with English-speaking driver/guide.
                         Your evening is free to recuperate from your long journey.

Day 03                        Moscow
After breakfast at your hotel, you’ll be driven to the Kremlin for a fabulous tour, including the Armory Museum, the Kremlin Churches, St. Basil’s in Red Square.
Lunch in town will be on your own, followed by a short subway ride with your guide to Arbat Street for some shopping. Then, this evening it’s to the Bolshoi.

Day 04                        Moscow
A Morning excursion to Sergiev Possad by private car with English-speaking driver to visit Russia’s principal seminary. You’ll see Churches and view incredible icons and other Russian artwork. The Possad is also home to a toy museum. Before returning to Moscow enjoy lunch in Zagorsk. Tonight
we’re off to the Moscow Circus.

                       
Day 05                        Moscow – St. Petersburg
Morning transfer to Pushkin Museum &/or Tretyakov (Mansion) Gallery with your guide. Lunch will be on your own followed by a free afternoon for a walk along the river or a return to a favorite shop for some last minute souvenirs. High Tea at your hotel then a transfer to Moscow rail station for 1145pm Red Arrow sleeper to St. Petersburg. Your private compartment will delight you.

Day 06                        St. Petersburg
Your new driver guide will meet you at the station and transfer you to your hotel.
Relax at the hotel in the morning, or explore the vicinity. Your afternoon sightseeing will include a city tour, Nevsky Prospect, and the Admiralty.
                        Evening free.

Day 07                        St. Petersburg
Following breakfast your morning transfer will be to the famous Hermitage Museum. Lunch on your own then return to hotel for independent explorations.
                        Evening free.

Day 08                        St. Petersburg
Transfer to Peter and Paul Fortress in your private car with English-speaking driver. Visit St. Isaak’s Cathedral then enjoy your free afternoon.
                        This evening we’re off to the Marinsky Theatre (play or ballet).

Day 09                        St. Petersburg
After breakfast you’ll be driven to Petrodvorets (Peterhof) Summer Palace of the Russian Emperors. A leisurely tour of the palace and grounds will be followed by lunch on your own.
                        Evening free.

Day 10                        St. Petersburg
Today’s excursion will take you to Pushkin for the Catherine Palace (Amber Room) tour. Lunch will be on your own and the evening is free.
                       
Day 11                        St. Petersburg
A short drive  to the Holy Saviour on Blood Cathedral followed by lunch on your own. This afternoon visit Yusupov Palace where Rasputin met his demise.
                        Evening free.
                       
Day 12                        St. Petersburg - home
