Your Journey begins:

DAY 1: ARRIVE DELHI

Arrive in Delhi, India's bustling capital city, where you will be grereted with the traditional Indian welcome and escorted to the hotel. New Delhi reflects the legacy the British left behind. The division between new and old Delhi is the segregation between the capitols of the British and the Mughals, respectively.

DAY 2: DELHI SIGHTSEEING

Tour Old and New Delhi, including the exquisite audience halls, marble domes and slender minarets of the Jama Masjid. See the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial at Raj Ghat, the Ashoka Pillar, and the famous Chandani Chowk Bazaars. Drive along Rajpath to photograph the Parliament House, President's Palace and India Gate, a memorial to India's soldiers. Tour Gurdwara Bangla Sahib, built on the site of a house where Guru Harkishen Dev, the eigth Sikh guru, stayed on his visit to Delhi. Continue to Humayun's Tomb, one of the most spectacular Mughal buildings. Proceed to the Qutab Minar and riuns of the Hindu temples destroyed during the Qutabshahi period. This evening, enjoy a presentation and Indian dances and music, followed by dinner. (B,D)

DAY 3: DELHI / MANDAWA

Drive to Mandawa, the heart of the Thar Desert, which used to be a medieval India trade city. Mandawa has beautifully preserved houses of medieval Indian traders in typical Rajput style, with colorful murals and wall paintings. (B,D)

DAY 4: MANDAWA / BIKANER

Drive to Bikaner through desert country. Upon arrival check into hotel. The fort and palaces of Bikaner break the endless monotony of the desert. Visit the Junagarh Fort and the Lalgarh Palace. (B,D)

DAY 5: BIKANER / JAISALMER

Drive to Jaisalmer, a fascinating city of rising from the heart of Thar Desert like a golden mirage. (B,D)

DAY 6: JAISALMER

Visit the 12th-century fort on Trikuta Hill, the Jain temples and Gadisar tank. Also enjoy a camel ride across the dunes to see the sunset. (B,D)

DAY 7: JAISALMER / JODHPUR

Drive to Jodhpur, the gateway to the Thar desert. The city is known for its striking fort, stately palaces, and gracious buildings. Visit the Jaswant Thada and the imposing Meherangarh Fort, followed by a walking tour to see the old city of Jodhpur and its markets. (B,D)

DAY 8: JODHPUR / RAWLA NARLAI

Wake up to the sounds of this 17th-century village and take in the spiritual energy from the Shiva Temple Stroll through the small bazaar, bustling with activity and color. (B,D)

DAY 9: RAWLA NARLAI / BAMBORA / RANAKPUR

After breakfast leave for Bambora. En route visit Ranakpur, one of the biggest and most important clusters of Jain Temple in India. Later, drive to Bambora. (B,D)

DAY 10: BAMBORA

Bambora is beautifully situated on a hilltop overlooking the Aravali hills of southern Rajasthan. Day at leisure. (B,D)

DAY 11: BAMBORA / DEOGARH

Drive to Deogarh Mahal, a fortified palace in the heart of Deogarh village. Upon checking into Fort, the day is free to explore the colorful village. (B,D)

DAY 12: DEOGARH / PUSHKAR

Drive to Pushkar - a quiet little town, on the edge of a small and beautiful lake in eastern Rajasthan. This city has 500 temples and 52 bathing ghats. Enjoy an afternoon spent visiting the ghats and temples. (B,D)

DAY 13: PUSHKAR / JAIPUR

Take a full day city tour of Jaipur and Amber Fort. (B,D)

DAY 14: JAIPUR / FATEHPUR SIKRI / AGRA

Drive to Agra, and along the way visit well-preserved Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri. In the afternoon, take a city tour of Agra and visit the Agra Fort. (B,D)

DAY 15: AGRA / DELHI

In the early morning, visit the famous Taj Mahal at sunrise. After visiting Agra city, we leave for Delhi, en route visiting Sikandra, the tomb of Akbar the Great. (B,D)
